About Citrus County Kennel Club
Citrus County Kennel Club is an organization serving dog owners, exhibitors, and breeders in Citrus County, Florida. Our club members work together to promote responsible purebred dog ownership, quality AKC events, and good sportsmanship in the sport of dogs.
Our History
Founded in 2018, Citrus County Kennel Club has grown from a small group of dedicated fanciers into an active club that supports conformation events, training opportunities, and public education. Over the years, our members have helped bring AKC‑licensed shows, matches, and special programs to the local community.
Our Mission
- Promote responsible dog ownership and the welfare of all dogs.
- Encourage good sportsmanship and ethical conduct among exhibitors and breeders.
- Host and support AKC‑sanctioned events and activities.
- Provide education and outreach to our members and the public.

Meetings
Our club typically meets monthly on Tuesdays at 6:30 via Zoom with the exception of a quarterly in-person meeting. Meeting dates, times, and locations may occasionally change, so please check our News & Announcements page or contact us to get more information or confirm before attending.
Club Bylaws
The Citrus County Kennel Club operates under bylaws approved by the membership and consistent with AKC policies. Members and applicants are encouraged to review the bylaws to understand eligibility, membership procedures, meetings, voting, and officer duties.
